For efficient performance of drug information service in hospital pharmacy, analysis of inquiries by telephone in Asan medical Center was studied. In 218 telephone inquiries received during 4 monthes, content of inquiries were analysed as ingredient of drug 21.0%, code of drug 18.6% etc. As classification of inquiries by pharmacological action, cardiovascular drug was 22.1%, antimicrobial drug 17.6%, and gastrointestinal drug 10.8% etc. More than 90% of inquiries was answered to inquirer in less than 5 minutes. Ranking of utilized reference book for investigating drug information was AMC Formuraly, AHFS Drug Information, and Medical Index and so on.
